Watertable located in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore is the perfect location when searching for a beautiful view of the harbor paired with delicious dishes!
We headed to Watertable on Friday night for a much needed date! Neither of us had been before so we were excited to try somewhere new!
The view is great and overlooks the harbor of Baltimore – tons of city lights and bay water!
We started with Chesapeake Deviled Eggs ($7) which is a MUST when at Watertable. They are AMAZING – creamy deviled eggs with pickled jalapenos, topped with jumbo lump crab meat and sprinkled with old bay!
The appetizer comes with 4 and I promise they will allllll be gone! Super addicting and definitely a dish I would LOVE to recreate!
Watertable offers a pick and chose taco menu – they have about 5 different taco options and you can mix and match the ones you want.
OF COURSE did this option because #tacosarelife 🙂
I went for the McDowell Farms Mushroom Taco ($3) and the Rockfish Taco ($5)
McDowell Farms Mushroom Taco comes stuffed with oyster, shitake mushrooms, chipotle goat cheese, smoked almonds, topped with a balsamic dressing. I liked this one better of the two and I would definitely get it again.
I’m a mushroom fan so I KNEW this would be a great option! Mushrooms mixed with crunchy almonds, creamy goat cheese, and the flavorful balsamic makes this a taco that will keep you coming back for more!
If you’re a mushroom lover, I advise trying the McDowell Farms Mushroom Taco!
Although I enjoyed the Mushroom taco, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Rockfish Taco. I was MOST excited about this taco but it was a little disappointing.
It had a more fishy taste to it which was undesirable and I couldn’t really get over it. The taco is served with rockfish, a chipotle kale slaw, pickled red onions, and corn salsa – ALL of which are great.
I wouldn’t say NOT to get it though, it’s possible we just got a bad batch.
If you’re a fish lover then maybe you’ll think differently but next time I’m at Watertable I will most likely try another taco from the list 🙂
Ty ordered the 135 Hanger Steak ($27) and was totally in love with the complete dish!
He got his steak served medium and it comes with sweet potato mash, stir fried broccolini, roasted peanuts, and a Korean BBQ.
I will say the broccolini and sweet potato mash were AMAZING and super addicting! I could just eat those two sides and be perfectly happy!
Ty said the steak was really tender, juicy, flavorful, and paired well with the sweet potato sides and broccolini. It was one of the more unique steaks he’s had as it comes with roasted peanuts and their Korean BBQ sauce.
When at Watertable, 135 Hanger Steak should be one dish you absolutely get!
Watertable is pretty high up in the building so you get an awesome view of the city and harbor. This is a great location for first dates or any date night dinner!
Its not too casual but not too dressy! Perfect mix for when you want to look nice but not have to wear a fancy dress or tuxedo!
There are so many delicious options to choose from and plenty of tables so I wouldn’t expect a wait. If you’re in Baltimore, I would advise adding Watertable to your weekend restaurant list! 🙂
Take a look at the menu, what would you order??
